What is the minimum age to be a driver?

Drivers must be at least 25 years of age.

Yes, the driver must have a valid driver’s license.

Are there restrictions on who is permitted to drive a vehicle?

All drivers must:

  • be at least 25 years of age;
  • have a valid drivers license;
  •  have signed the required form of Release and Waiver of Liability;
  • carry the evidence of rental insurance given to you at the time of the rental;
  • read the Vehicle operator / instruction manual;
  • be able to reach and properly use the steering wheel and all controls;
  • learn all Vehicle mechanical controls and safety devices;
  • drive in a safe, prudent and responsible manner; and
  • have good vision and wear goggles, glasses or other eye protection.

Are reservations required?

We strongly suggest that you make a reservation for any vehicle you wish to rent.   At all times, and in particular during peak times (e.g., during holidays, weekends, school breaks, summer, and hunting season), vehicles are only made available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We may elect not to take reservations for vehicles at any time.

Are reservation payments required?

At the time you make a reservation, you must pay in full, via major credit or debit card, all rental charges, taxes, rental insurance, charges for trailers or other optional items or equipment, and other charges, applicable to your reservation. We do not accept reservations for vehicles made without advance payment in full.

Are reservation payments refundable?

No.   All payments made with a reservation are non-refundable. There is no refund, credit, exchange or reduction of rental charges for a “no show” or a late pick up or a failure to make the pick up. When you pay for a reservation, you have made a non-cancellable, non-refundable reservation. Reservation payments are applied to rental charges if you pick up or retained by us to compensate us for your failure to pick up.

If I don’t show up for my reservation may I get a refund?

No.   All payments made with a reservation are non-refundable. There is no refund, credit, exchange or reduction of rental charges for a “no show” or a late pick up or a failure to make the pick up. When you pay for a reservation, you have made a non-cancellable, non-refundable reservation. Reservation payments are applied to rental charges if you pick up or retained by us to compensate us for your failure to pick up.

Do I test-drive the vehicle?

When may I pick up a vehicle?

How do I transport the vehicle?

You need a trailer to transport a vehicle.   You may use your own, you may rent one from another rental company before you arrive for pick up, or you may rent one from us subject to availability.

We have a limited number of trailers available.   We strongly suggest that you make a reservation for any trailer you wish to rent. At all times, and in particular during peak times (e.g., during holidays, weekends, school breaks, summer, and hunting season), trailers are only made available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We may elect not to take reservations for trailers at any time.

When transporting the Vehicle by separate vehicular transport, e.g., truck or trailer, remove the engine hood and transport it separately in the transport vehicle or secure the engine hood with rope or tie-down straps. Wind or turbulence at road speeds could result in the loss of the hood.

Do you require a security deposit?

Yes. We require a $2,500 security deposit.  We reserve the right to further inspect and revise estimates after the return. We may hold your deposit until we have made a final determination, and we reserve the right to determine after the time of return and inspection, additional fees, costs and expenses due under this Agreement, including the cost of all cleaning, replacement, repair or repainting required by reason of wear other than reasonable ordinary wear or due to theft, loss or damage occurring during the Rental Period.

When may I return a vehicle?

You select your return time when you make your reservation.

If I return late how am I charged for the additional time?

For each day you are late, the daily rate applies.  There is no grace period and the daily rate applies to each day or partial day of the Rental Period.

Late returns are subject to increases in rental rates and other prices with or without advance notice. If your return is late, starting with the time the return is late, you may be subject to higher rental rates and higher other prices.

What type of fuel does the vehicle use?

Use only fresh fuel, minimum 87 octane, unleaded. Do not use methanol / white gas.

Do I need to return the vehicle with fuel in the tank?

Return the vehicle with as much fuel as when rented.   If you return the vehicle with less fuel than when rented, we will charge you for that shortage at the fuel refill rate specified in your rental agreement.

Who do I call if I am in an accident?

Immediately call us at 856-209-0056 to report any vehicle damage.   Immediately call local law enforcement, and then immediately call us, to report any vehicle vandalism or theft, or any accident, injury or damage to other property involving the vehicle or your use of the vehicle. If you call outside of business hours you must also call back as soon as is practicable during the next business day’s business hours. Do not have the vehicle serviced without our prior approval.

Where may I drive the vehicle?

You may drive the vehicle within the Permitted Area (described on the first page of your rental agreement) except that vehicle use is prohibited:

·         on private roads or property without the consent of the landowner

·         where or when use constitutes trespassing or a public or private nuisance

·         on any public streets, roads or highways

·         on government-owned lands except as expressly permitted by signage or applicable law

·         where or when prohibited by signage or applicable law

·         within New Jersey state parks and forests

·         within Pennsylvania except on designated trails that expressly permit Vehicle use

Each vehicle is sometimes referred to as a “side-by-side” and has either two adjacent seats or two pairs of adjacent seats. One occupant per seat. Lap riding in the vehicle is prohibited.

Yes. Drivers and passengers must:

  • wear a helmet and goggles, glasses or other eye protection while in or on the vehicle;
  • properly and securely fasten their helmets while in or on the vehicle;
  • be able to properly use their seat belt;
  • properly and securely fasten their seat belt; and
  • wear suitable clothing including shoes with toe and heel protection.

Use of suitable, approved personal hearing protection is recommended, in particular, when running the vehicle for an extended period of time.

Do vehicle occupants wear glasses or other eye protection?

Yes. Drivers and passengers must:

  • wear a helmet and goggles, glasses or other eye protection while in or on the vehicle;
  • properly and securely fasten their helmets while in or on the vehicle;
  • be able to properly use their seat belt;
  • properly and securely fasten their seat belt; and
  • wear suitable clothing including shoes with toe and heel protection.

Use of suitable, approved personal hearing protection is recommended, in particular, when running the vehicle for an extended period of time.

May the vehicle be driven in water?

No. Do not drive, move or permit movement of the vehicle into water deeper than twelve (12) inches. You are not permitted to drive the vehicle into water deeper than twelve (12) inches under any circumstances and regardless of vehicle safety features, floatation devices or amphibious capability.

May I carry hunting gear?

Do not transport or carry any loaded firearm (but you may transport or carry it unloaded) or to transport or carry any weapon of any kind in an unlawful or unsafe manner.

May vehicles race?

Do not drive or use the vehicle in any race, speed test, obstacle course or other contest or competition.

May I use the vehicle for business?

Your rental agreement states that you have rented the vehicle for personal use only. Do not drive or use the vehicle for any business or commercial purpose. Do not drive or use the vehicle to transport any cargo, building or construction materials, or similar items.

May I use the vehicle to haul cargo?

Your rental agreement states that you have rented the vehicle for personal use only. Do not drive or use the vehicle for any business or commercial purpose. Do not drive or use the vehicle to transport any cargo, building or construction materials, or similar items.

May I use the vehicle to transport construction material?

Your rental agreement states that you have rented the vehicle for personal use only. Do not drive or use the vehicle for any business or commercial purpose. Do not drive or use the vehicle to transport any cargo, building or construction materials, or similar items.

Is towing permitted?

Do not use the Vehicle to tow or push anything. Do not have the Vehicle towed unless and until you have received our express permission to do so.

Is winch use permitted?

Do not use the Vehicle winch except in emergencies for its intended purpose and in accordance with the operator / instruction manual.

Do I need to bring a copy of my insurance card?

When you arrive at the rental office, you need to have a letter, or certificate of insurance, issued by your insurer or insurance agent.  That document needs to set forth specific insurance coverage information such as the insurer, types and limits of coverage, policy number, named insured, and coverage dates.  Your insurer or insurance agent is familiar with what needs to be provided and the form they generally use is likely to be acceptable.

Do I need proof of insurance for the auto or truck that I am using to transport the Vehicle?

You need to have property and liability insurance for all AUTOMOBILES, TRUCKS, OTHER VEHICLES, TRAILERS AND OTHER EQUIPMENT or devices used TO TRANSPORT THE VEHICLE, of at least the minimum coverages and limits required by applicable compulsory and financial responsibility law.

Rentals are at daily (24-hour) rates. Daily rates apply to each consecutive 24-hour period and any additional partial period up to the time of actual return. Daily rates are not prorated or reduced for periods of less than 24 hours. Daily rates apply to all rentals including Vehicles, insurance, trailers and optional items, accessories or equipment. Your required return date/time is set forth in this agreement. If your return is late, you will be charged additional rent at daily rates, up to the time of actual return.
